Hello, is there a way to import dimension with tolerance into SolidWorks when part is saved as step or parasolid?
For example, I have created a length dimension with tolerance on a 3D block and save it as a step or parasolid file.
Can I import the length dimension with tolerance when I open the step or parasolid file in SolidWorks? I know I can still get the length dimension but can I get the tolerance value?
Anyone has any idea?
sorry but SW doesn't bring in any dims from any of the imports....just a solidbody is all you get.
whay are you exporting and reimporting......from newer to older SW? your kind of SOL.
you have to add a reference dim with the tolerence callout on it, it will not change the size of the model, it's like measuring it with a caliper.
