I'm running SolidWorks x64, SP4.0 with a Premium license. When I add in PhotoWorks, the menu bar changes so I can access the PhotoWorks drop-down menu. However, when I pull down the menu and select Scene, nothing happens. When I press escape, I get the following error message: "The current operation cannot be interrupted or the document is not accessible at this time." I've tried the same thing with a Professional license with the same result.
I've verified that I'm using an approved graphics driver for my card/system. Any thoughts?
I'll answer my own question...
Need to follow the procedure below except that the variables to reset to 0 are SceneDialogPositionX and SceneDialogPositionY.
Make sure to navigate to the correct SolidWorks directory. In my case it was SolidWorks2010 as shown here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2010\PhotoWorks\Options
Question:
Why does the PhotoWorks™ options window fail to appear when clicking on the icon, or accessing PhotoWorks™ options through the PhotoWorks™ menu?
This problem can occur if the user has recently changed his/her display resolution or switched from dual to single monitors. The PhotoWorks options window is probably opening in an off-screen location.
The location can be fixed in the registry. Start -> Run -> "regedit", then navigate to the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\Applications\PhotoWorks2\PhotoWorks2.1.42.1\Options
In the list of variables that are shown in the right-hand pane of the registry editor there are two variables called OptionDialogPositionX and OptionDialogPositionXY. Either delete those two variables, or reset the values to 0, exit the registry, restart SolidWorks. The PhotoWorks options window should now appear in a visible location.
