Solidworks uses Excel spreadsheet as OLE, is it possible to use Open office instead of Excel speadsheet?
I`m not really sure but somehow OLE objects could be program related.. For example if you have inserted Excel OLE object to model it can not be opened with OpenOffice.Org. Maybe same functionality could be when you insert AutoCAD DWG and try to open it with DWGEditor. Someone should check if this is true.
Any OLE compliant document can be linked or embbeded into SW.
