Any special settings within the video driver that is best for SWX2010 ?
In the programs list SWX is not listed.
I use this on my FX1800 and all my machines with SolidWorks and nVidia. I've played around with all the individual settings but I never see any difference, so I don't bother anymore.
Under the advanced 3D settings there should be a preset for either "SolidWorks" or "Dassault Systemes SolidWorks". If not then check the approved drivers page, and make sure you are using the approved drivers! http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html
There are two settings that can make a difference. Both Antialiasing and v-sync need to be turned off. They can both cause stability issues. You can see the vertical sync, or v-sync issues when you rotate a model, and you get those jittery lines where the video card can't quite keep up and different parts of the screen rotate a mili-seconds faster than the others. Turning on v-sync gets rid of this, but don't do it! The anti-aliasing is a long discussion, but basically SW does not support anti-aliasing at this time. The others options can be adjusted for speed/performance.
