Does anyone have any ideas on how to model something in the shape of a teardrop?  Not just any teardrop but one that is pointy on the bottom (in addition to the top), like an onion.  To add to that, if you take a horizontal section through the "fat" (most bulbous) area it would be an oval, not a circle, so I'm not sure it can be a revolve.  Oh yea, it also needs to be covered with a grid.  The engineer who wants it said it represents the P M interactive surface curve in concrete, or something like that.  As a recovering architect I'm not really sure what that is but I am reasonably sure it can be modeled…
