I have a general question about turbulence models and SolidWorks Flow Simulation. SolidWorks Flow use K-epsilon method to solve for the turbulence. Can you please let me know how good that method is to solve for thermal flow problems, especially where the flow impinges on a hot surface? Is there a better model that can be used? What is the percentage of error for the impingement flow model with regards to temperature?
How does Runga-Kutta method or low Re K-epsilon method compare to the K-epsilon method? Has anybody tried varying the turbulence properties within SolidWorks Flow?
