I am looking for recommendations for an add-on or application to perform lightpipe design, as driven by LED's. Suggestions are appreciated. "OptisWorks"?
This is a link to a presentation I gave at the West Michigan SolidWorks Users Group last May: http://wmswug.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/wmswug-may-11-2010-upload.pdf It was my first and only presentation to date so it is not as slick as I would have liked. It also has more information in it than light pipes and LEDs but it might cover some of what you are interested in. If there is something specific about using OptisWorks for LED lighting that I can answer I would be be happy to try. Otherwise I would suggest contacting OptisNA (if you are in the states). OptisWorks for lighting and non-sequential ray-trace is a powerful tool within SW and I use it constantly throughout the day.
I am getting a "File is damaged and could not be repaired" error when downloading that PDF.
Bummer Kelvin. It seems to work fine on my machine. This is the downloads page: http://wmswug.com/downloads/ The presentation is listed there.
If you are still having a problem downloading the file or if the download is blocked, email me and I'll send a copy.
