Is there an easy way to create a note on a drawing that pulls in the K-factor from the sheet metal part that is being drawn?
I don't know if there is any direct way to do it. But using a macro, this might be doable. The macro will get the K-factor value and add a custom/config property. The drawing can be then linked to this value.

Much to my dismay, it doesn't appear to be able to "pull" the K-Factor from a gauge table.
It works great for parts that are created without using a gauge table (similar to my current method listed in my other post.)
If you have any ideas for pulling this information from a gauge table, I would be extremely grateful!
(If I could just "tie" the K-Factor value to a custom property, my current set up would work.)

I am so sorry about the delay, several other projects started making more noise and this went to the back of the list.
I have attached a link for a simple part that was created with 14ga steel (.0747" thick), a bend radius of .060", and a K-Factor of 0.365
(This is the information that is in the bend table that I created - this way I didn't have to include the bend tables.)
Also, we use K-Factor in our bend table (and non-bend table parts), so I don't have the bend allowance information readily available, but I could convert if necessary.

I'll answer this question, but then I'll add a question of my own . . .
I have done this exact thing by creating a custom property for K-Factor, linking that property to the K-Factor of the part, and the note in my drawing template calls on the custom property.
The big trick is when you create the custom property for K-Factor - If you click on the Sheet Metal feature in the feature manager, in the graphics area you will see the thickness, default radius, and K-factor dimensions (you might have to look for K-Factor, but it is there) click on the number to link to the custom properties and then you are set for everything else.
(It should appear in your properties as something like D2@Sheet-Metal1@PartName.SLDPRT - D1 is the default radius, D2 is the K-Factor.)
Now, on to my question -
I set all of this up, it works great, but as soon as I started using gauge tables the "link" became broken.
When using a gauge table the K-Factor value is no longer visible when following the steps listed above, and the "dimension call" (D2@...) no longer works.
Thoughts? Ideas? Anyone?
