Hello All,
I have attached a pdf. I do alot of drawings that have these din rail connectors in them. Sometimes there can be upto 40 on 1 rail.
The question I wanted to ask was can you do multiple mates? All these connectors are lined up in the same place next to each other.
This takes a long time to do. I was hoping there might be a short cut, so Help please.
I am running solidworks 2009 sp3

next to your mate selections box there is a button called multiple mate mode. i think this is what you are looking for.

Thanks for your reply, I hadn't noticed that was there. All this time I have been using it and never noticed it.
I have attached another drawing of what i wish to do. I did try that but for what i can see you have to pick one face as the main face and all of the rest mate i.e coincident
to that face. but i'm looking to mate them all at once side by side. Have i done something wrong??

Another possibility would be to use Smart Mates (or is it Mate References I'm thinking of...) on the blocks that snap onto the DIN rail.
If you are assembling panels with different I/Os and which to have them specific to part numbers, etc... this might be a good avenue to explore.
Just my first thought.

Try using the Copy With Mates option. It speeds up repetative mating.
But if you are concerned with the performance of your assy's, why not lock or fix them?
