I tried searching this but had no luck (a first for me here).
I have imported a parasolid assembly to SW. SW displays the top view as the "Front Upside Down" view. Is there a way to "redefine" the standard views? In other words, how do I tell SW which view is actually the top? I have attached a picture to illustrate what I'm seeing.

Tommy,
There are several things you can do. The simplest is to, in essence, reorient the standard views. You do this by hitting the space bar to pull up the view orientation toolbar. Rotate to the view that you want to be the Front view. Single click on *Front and then select the second icon, with the tool tip Update Standard Views. That will now be your new Front view and the rest of the views will rotate to match it. But it doesn't change the orientation of the planes or the X, Y, and Z triad. You can reset it by clicking on the third icon, Reset Standard Views.
A more permanent method is to rotate your imported assembly. A nice way to do this is to build a new coordinate system (Insert/Reference Geometry/Coordinate System) in the orientation that you want and then export your assembly in Parasolid and choose the new coordinate system. (File/Save As/Assembly Type=Parasolid, Options/Output coordinate system=your new one). Then reimport your Parasolid file and it should be oriented correctly.
