Problem With mates in SW 2009

Hi guys,

Maybe you could help me with this issue?

I repeatedly have issues trying to mate parts together. Our parts were originally designed in Catia, are steel pressings that are assembled into welded structures.

When I try to mate many of the parts, I get a couple of mates in place, but on the last one that would fully define the assy - I get 'parts are not concentric' or some similar message about an angle being present.

Often this value is 0.002 degrees or some other tiny number. Is there a way of reducing the tolerance in mates to reduce my frustration.?

I'm guessing this may be a conversion error from Catia..?
