Ok guys/gals,
I recently worked on an image where I needed a braided wire to look realistic. I wasn't as successful getting it done with the projection types available in Photoworks. It turns out to be pretty easy in modo using an image map and a projection type called "UV". Essentially mapping the image onto a flattend version of your geometry.
This is the process I went through to achieve that in modo.
This is a series of tutorials geared towards Solidworks users using modo.
I have broken out the tutorial set so you can skip to the stuff you want to see.
Let me know if you have any questions.
