We are using eDrawings 2009 to view DXF files exported from Anvil. We recently began having issues with opening the files (Error in opening file). After research we found that the users having difficulties were running SP3. We had one user running SP2 and had declined the request to install SP3. He was able to open the files fine.
Is there a way to download SP2?
Also, is there a way to disable the auto-install of updates?

Thank you for your quick response.
I found the our installation files and tried installing them with the following results:
2010 (latest release)- broken
2009 SP3-broken
2007 SP2- works. Will prompt for an upgrade. If users okay the install of the upgrade, it breaks. So far, only 2 users appear to have okayed the upgrade, breaking their system. May have to reinstall for them and send out a message to the users, telling them not to upgrade.
Note that I've also tried this file with 3 other viewers and AC itself. The file is clearly good. The viewer is broken.

Have you reported this problem to your VAR, and if so, do you have an SPR number?
Can you post the DXF file here, so that we can investigate?

I could not open the DXF file through eDrawings either. My solution was to open it in DWGeditor and save as a DWG file (see attached). This DWG file can also be saved as an eDrawing file.
BTW, the DWG file, unlike the DXF file, opened fine in eDrawings as well. I should add I was using eDrawings 2009 SP5.0 (Win XP x64).

Interesting, the 2D Editor will open it, but EDrawings will not. Both are 2010, by the way.
No as the one on the SW website gets replaced by latest one. You can check if you have a copy/dump of SP2 or can ask you VAR to send you a copy.
Disabling auto install must be a window setting. And as far I remember, SW SPs updates are only installed if you want to install.
