I want to run a motion study in which an actuator pulls one end of the string that is going around three pulleys. The other end of the string is attached to the third pulley. Please note that the string does not loop over so belt-chain features can't be used.
Any ideas how to go about doing this?
Building and testing a physical prototype will incur less time, less money and more credible results, than trying to build and test a virtual prototype in SWP.
If you still want to proceed, you must choose between a pretty moving picture (animation) or mechanical dynamic analysis (whatever they call it now), then read up on the capabilities of the relevant software.
I'm also interested in creating models with terminated / noncontinuous belts, strings, tendons, etc. Anyone have a good way to do this?
