How do I stop the camera view from resetting when Reciprocating animation is used?

I want to animate a very simple motion, and be able to see it move from different angles. It is only a 4 second movement, so if I change the view orientation during the motion, I have barely a second left before it starts to reciprocate back. When it starts to reciprocate back, it switches back to the zoomed in view I used to apply the linear motor to the part. This is not very useful. I need a more overall view. Is it possible to just keep moving and reciprocating without resetting the view?
