Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Last year we upgraded our SNL to Solidworks 2010, however, our users are still operating Solidworks 2009. Up to about 2-3 weeks ago, we were able to run SW2009 and access DWGEditor just fine until we recently upgraded one of our global servers to a 64 bit OS, running Windows 2008 Server, Release 2.
For some reason, we lost DWGeditor. I realize that for "SOLIDWORKS" 2010, SP3, DWGEditor no longer exists, and now users must go to the web portal and download 2D Editor, however, this is if they already have SW2010 installed. What do users do if they're still running on SW2009?
Please do not suggest going back to the 2009 SNL. That is not an option and DWGEditor works fine with servers running 32 bit OS on Windows 2003 server.
David,
What do you mean you lost DWGEditor? Do you not see the licenses as being available when you launch the SolidWorks License Manager tool?
I am assuming your users have DWGEditor installed on their local machines and are pulling licenses from the license server.
Please give us a bit more detail on what your set-up is.
Cheers,
Anna
