Could someone please take a look at following Zip file.

I have an assembly with a base plate with a 850 hole in it, a stiffener plate which falls across the hole and a tube which fits into the hole. The stiffener plate is shaped to fit around the tube.

At present I brought in base plate, then in assembly created new part and made stiffener, I then did same for tube.

I then had to create another sketch and cut extrude where the tube cuts through stiffener, with the propagate feature to part checked. This gives me the stiffener with the slotted cut outs.

Is this the way you would do these, or could I some how use the tube to cut away the stiffener when creating the tube, thus meaning I do not need to do another sketch later on.

Please note that the sketches / items are not 100% consrained, dimensiond. At present i am not to concerned about this just like to know best way of doing this.
