I have a file containing planes, cylinders, and points that were scanned from a casting by a CMM and Imported into Solidworks as an IGES file. All the dimensions in the imported file are off by a factor of 25.4. If I change the units it still reads off by the same factor just in inches instead of mm. Is there a way to scale the entire file or tell Solidworks that when it does the unit conversions to keep the coefficients the same and just change the units? If I try to scale using the insert>molds >scale tool all the individual features scale but their locations in space and locations relative to each other don’t, which leaves me with a lot of really small features all far away from each other. It’s late and I’m exhausted. Does what I’m asking make sense?
