Interference detection SW 2010 SP3.0

I will in the course of design, run interference detection to eliminate small areas that may be overlooked in the process of changing things like board thickness, etcetera. Typically I would run the check, find a small interference, and then correct it. I would then run the check again. If there are several areas that need attention, I would eliminate them one by one. Unfortunately, after the first check and correction, Solidworks will crash when trying to perform the next interference check. I thought this was a SP0 problem but it's still there in SP3.0.
