Hi,

I have a rectangular steel structure with four wheels (steel), like a vehicle chassis. The wheel assembly has self aligning spherical roller bearing. When load is applied at centre of the steel structure the frame will deflect, the self aligning bearing would rotate by a small angle and still transfer the load to the wheels.

Has anyone modeled this in simulation, I have tried many ways of simulating this without success. The problem I am encountering is while the frame deflects the spherical bearing are not rotating to compensate for the deflection, thus loading the wheels on the edge. Which is not distributing the load on the bearing block as expected.  I did model the spherical bearing and bushing and set a no-penetration contact set with zero friction. Somehow it’s not working.
