My DR has told me I need to change the way I position my hand while working to avoid further injury. The standard mouse position is killing me. If I suspend my arm above the table keeping my wrist straight (the way they say your are suppose to hold a mouse) my shoulder begins to have fits. If rest my elbow on something then I eventually aggravate my ulnar nerve (elbow). If I rest my palm on the table then I aggravate my wrist.
What I am looking for is something similar in design to the SpaceExplorer in where it has a palm rest to keep your wrist straight and in-line with the "mouse". But, those are non-existant at this time (or I can't find one). Trackball is nice for the wrist but I find that I have to suspend my arm above the table to keep my wrist straight (Logitech Marble Mouse) which eventually aggravates my shoulder. To further injure my pride, I have small hands so not all mice/trackballs work well for me. My ideal solution is something with a palm rest.
Someone turned me onto this website: http://www.fentek-ind.com/ergmouse.htm
and I am wondering if anyone in the community is using any of these. The interesting ones to me are:
I am also looking at the other mice suggested in other posts but they are either too large for me or don't solve my ergonomic problem.
