I am wanting to know if there is an application that I could put on my Android phone that would allow me to view solid part, assemblies, or drawings. Let me know!
For some time now, we've been tracking customer interest in using eDrawings on PDAs and mobile platforms.
This is also a frequent topic of discussion amongst the eDrawings team.
It would be helpful to us if you could register your interest using enhancement request SPR 534019.
1) www.solidworks.com -> Click Login -> Click SolidWorks Customer Portal2) My Support -> Enhancement Requests3) In the search field type 5340194) Select the SPR and fill out the form
We're trying to distinguish between "Wouldn't it be cool" requests and "This would really help my company" requests, so any info you could provide, about how your company would use this, would help us prioritize it appropriately.
BTW, SolidWorks Labs already offers an app called 'Drawings Now' which works in most any web browser. This has been optimized for the iPhone/iTouch. It reportedly works on Android phones also, with some limitations.
But as the name suggests, Drawings Now is only for drawings. Also note that it is web-based, rather than a native application. But it might meet some of your needs in the meantime.

I currently travel without laptop but with my Droid. I have to use PDF's now but it would be wonderful to have everything on in EDrawings on my Droid.
I would love the have edrawing viewer capability on my android phone (HTC incredible). I am constantly out of the office and my employees want quick feedback on their designs. I would gladly pay $10 or more to have this.
Thanks for your consideration.
John, have a look here, www.logmein.com you can get an app for android phones to log onto other pc's. hope this helps.
Meanwhile you can read this forum with Android :-)
LogMeIn Ignition for Android will allow you to control an existing computer on which you have SW/eDrawings installed from your Android phone.
There's also "PhoneMyPC" for Android. I haven't tried yet if it works with graphics like eDrw-stuff (television is not working, gives me just blank screen)
