Please advise,Is is possible to do paralel mold in the same part for this 2 part design ?
Attached is the skecth design, thanks for the help..
The answer should be yes but would suggest you to discuss with you tool maker. Though I don't see any issues in doing that but still some tool makers don't like two different parts in the same mold.
I don't understand from the drawing which parts you are trying to put in a family mold. As Deepak suggested, talk to a molder or mold maker before you go to very far along in the design.
The ideal family mold parts will have the same weight and wall thickness and will fill in the same time, meaning that the flow length from the gate to the end of fill is the same. You can get away with different wall thickness and different weight if you still end up with about the same fill time. If you don't require really tight accuracy, you can have significantly different fill times. One part will be overpacked and larger than expected, possibly with some flash, the other part will be underpacked and smaller than expected, possibly with some sink.
You can also put several parts in a family mold but only run one at a time. You don't save on your part cost, but you do get a less expensive mold and shorter set up times.
