Bad performance when saving to a network share

Hello we're having a file-server (Windows Storage Server 2008) in a GBit-network where our cad-files are stored. Opening SWX-files from there isn't fast, but saving is very slow. 0.09% bandwith-usage, even if there no other users online.

When saving to other servers in the company-network (Windows Server 2003R2 and/or Windows Server 2008) the bandwith-usage is about 3.5%, which is much faster, but still slow.

When copying files using the Windows explorer, the bandwith is much higher, about 80%.

Do you have any idea what the problem might be, and how to fix it?

Best regards, Robert.
