I am currently looking for a remote solution for running solidworks.  I use the LAN at times but sometimes I have to remotely use Solidworks over the internet from a laptop to a workstation.  I know that Remote Desktop (Remote Desktop Protocol) does not work with OpenGL natively.  ThinAnywhere claims to have an RDP plugin that runs openGL graphics (http://www.thinanywhere.com/).  I also found VirtualGL (http://www.virtualgl.org/Main/HomePage).  VirtualGL looks promising.

Questions:

1.  Has anyone had experience with ThinAnywhere?  What do you think of there model for remote graphics?

2.  Has anyone used VirtualGL?  Is anyone willing to work with me to get this up and running so that we can report our finding on this forum?

3.  What solutions are you using to work in Solidworks remotely?
