I'm going to design a tea kettels using solidworks sheetmetal,
does any body can help to share a sample in sheet metal format.
Herewith i attached the picture of the sample design (in jpg file)
Thanks in advance
I doubt if it can be done easily with SolidWorks sheet metal current capabilities. Its more of surfacing techniques I believe.
Are you expecting to be able to develop a flat blank by using SolidWorks sheet metal tools for the teapot?
SolidWorks sheet metal tools can only develop flat blanks for parts that can be create with simple bends and wipes like you would get from a sheet metal brake press.
The teapot is a drawn sheet metal product with metal being deformed in mutiple directions with stretching and compression of metal.
You will need software such as BlankWorks or LogoPress3 to develop a flat blank for the teapot.
The teapot is better suited to be modeled with extrudes and cuts, with surfacing techniques for the spout.
Head over to Matt Lombard's blog for info on surfacing techniques you can use to model the teapot.
