I’m a new Solidworks user and had a need to use the simulation for the first time this week. It’s was a simple tie-rod and I wanted to look at the stress around the thread relief. All seemed fine until it came to running the simulation… error box simply says “Part1-Study 1 : Failed”. So to avoid problems with my model I made very simple part with a 1” dia x 10” long, fixed at one end, load at the other, same result (see screen capture bellow. I’m sure its something simple but I could use some help.

I’m running Solidworks Premium 64bit on Vista.
