i was creating design table for making various configurations.
i created it ,saved and closed it
but when i want to edit it again, while opening it, gives a error " IT WAS CREATED IN EXCEL 2007 AND UNABLE TO OPEN EXCEL 2007"
can anyone help me.
I'm sure this is known bug. It has been highlighted before on this forum.
39700Kindly check the Ms-Office version Installed in your machine.
Seems u have the issue with Ms-Excel version difference.
Have you created it inside SoidWorks or ouside?
inside solidwoks only.
INSERT- DESIGN TABLE
I had simillar problems before, but I think I got it back working after I reinstalled MS Office.
But with SW 2010, I never had problems with design tables, and I use it daily.
what is the version of excel you are using which is creating no problem with solidworks 2010.
I have 2007.
If you want you can send me your files, so I can try to open it.
am also having 2007 excel and SW 10 only.
the problem is sometimes it is opening perfectly and sometimes it is throwing that error what i mentioned before,i think i have to reinstall my office 2007.
One more thing that I have noticed, maybe it can be usefull to you.
I have used SolidWorks 2010 on Vista and on Win 7.
Since I have Windows 7 x64, I have no problems with SolidWorks. Like errors, shutting down, not responding, ...
I feel that SW is running quite better on Win 7.
fine thanks ,
am not using vista, using only windows....
You might try the Office repair. Go to the Start menu and run Microsoft Office Diagnostics. I have seen it fix some things.
I think the problem is related to excel compatibility mode. If the table was created with excel in compatibility mode (2003) and then try to open with excel in non compatibility mode (2007) it came the error.
For me it works, I switch excel in compatibility mode and I can open table.
Try to do the "File-Reload" for the model...works for me.
