can anybody help me with density of the following materials:-En24,En31,En353,20MnCr5
can anybody help me with density of the following materials:-En24,En31,En353,20MnCr5
I got these densities as an aside to an order I placed with a main supplier, Alloys International (www.alloysinternational.com)
Alloy 20MnCr5: 0.272 lb/cu. in or 7.551 g/cu. cm
Alloy En353: 0.283 lb/cu. in or 7.833 g/cu. cm
For future reference if you're wanting to get some of these alloys, my rep said that the properties of 20MnCr5 very closely resemble the properties of AISI Grade 5120 Alloy Steel, and the EN535 closely resembles those of AISI Grade 8622 Alloy Steel.
I double check these with another supplier, Metal Suppliers Online (http://www.suppliersonline.com/) and they did indeed check-out. Metal Supplier Online has a great database for their supplied alloys (MatWeb is by far the best source though).
I hope this helps!
Cheers

Found these two on www.matweb.com
En24 8.17g/cc .295 lb/in
En31 3.21 g/cc .116 lb/in
