I must be overlooking it but I cant find the Assembly stats that shows rebuild time, similar to Features Stats on a part document.
I don't know of an Assembly rebuild time window, but are you talking about AssemblyXpert (Tools-> AssemblyXpert)
I thought years back they had a Assembly Stats feature, then Assembly Xpert took its place. Assembly Xpert doesnt have anything about rebuild time, only total parts.
Just tried using this macro and it gives me errors. Win7 x64 and MS Office 2007
Try the Assembly Visualization tool, and set the column to show SW-Rebuild Time.
oh yeah.. I forgot about that one
BTW...nice macro Josh!!
Is that part of 2010 ? (we are still running 2009)
I have it on SW2010, so if you don't see it on 2009, I guess it was a new feature.
I only learned of its existence right before posting here.
Now there's a handy little tool that I was not aware of.
Thanks for posting.
Very nice post!
You can then save this information to Excel (or pdf, csv, txt) by clicking the 'Save as' in the Assembly Visualization menu arrow (>) to easily total these values and compare them to other Assembly Visualization results.
This SW-Rebuild Time is only show the rebuild time for each part and only for a single part even if you have a quantity of two. Therefore, SW needs to put in an Assy Stats just like the parts Stats.
This worked a treat. I especially likes the ability to show a colour range on the parts i.e.shortest to longest rebuild time, red to blue etc Thanks Kelvin!
