Okay, first I must admit, I don't know a whole lot about motion. But I have done some simple animation prior to SW2009. When they moved everything to the Motion Manager, I've been kinda lost.
I am trying to get a cylinder to "roll" along a floor. Basically, like a tire going down the road. I've tried using rack and pinion mates, gravity, rotary motor, contacts, tangency mates, etc., and all sorts of combinations of these In a nutshell, I don't know what I am doing apparently. Every time I try something different, it will either, a) do nothing, b) simply slide with no rotation, or c) rotate with no linear movement.
Can anyone give me some pointers, or even an example?
Try this thread, it has some example files in it (I haven't looked at them).
