Installed/Upgraded 2010 sp2.1 Can't locate PDM. Seems to be there when I open open SolidWorks Explorer and the Vault Admin tool is installed. Why can't I get to the PDM within SolidWorks? It's not in Tools > Add-ins.

yes I understand the admin is not PDM works. Was pretty sure everything was already installed and can't really understand how I can see the vault through SolidWorks explorer but can't see it inside SolidWorks. Was hoping someone else has seen this and I wouldn't have to go through anorther install process.
Did you specifically install PDM Server when installing SW2010 Pro or Premium? It does not install by default in case you do not to use it. Also, if you have installed Server, do you have it turned on in "add-ins"?
You don't have to go through the entire install process. The installation manager will just install the things you need.
Just go to Add/Remove Programs, Select SolidWorks, Select Repair or Modify. Make sure the components are installed correctly.
I realize this can be confusing when you think you did everything correct. I recently updated the PDM API version without updating the Vault version. I have no idea how I did this and I wasn't able to fix it in an easy manner. So I understand if you are having troubles, but I think the installation manager is the first step.

1. Attempted re-install of PDM
2. Install failed. Error log noted as Error Status 0 "***START DUMP OF WINDOWS INSTALLER DATA***"
07:26:32 Error Status 0 "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue.
3. Uninstalled SolidWorks Explorer
4. Re-installed SolidWorks Explorer and PDM
5. Problem resolved.
Very frustrating
The vault admin is not the same things as PDMWorks Workgroup Add-in. You need to start up the installation manager and make sure you install that.
