I don't know if this is the right place to post this but any help would be much appreciated. We are a manufacturing company with many differant facilities in different locations across the US. I am a design engineer located in our corporate headquaters and we are the only engineers for the company. For my job I uses Solidworks everyday for design work and it works great. in one of our investment casting foundry's located in a different part of they US they have a QC department and just recently bought a new CMM that uses .IGS files to relay the infromation to the user. My problem is that every time they use the machine they have to send the file to me and I uses Solidworks to measure it for them. We would like them to be able to measure off the file on site without having to get me involoved. The problem is we can not justify buying Solidworks for the sole purpose of measuring a .igs file. Is there a cheaper software package out there that is used to measure the dimensions off of .igs files and not used for design work or anything else? They just need to be able to read the file and measure off of it.
Thanks for any help
Kyle
