In SolidWorks Resources we are getting an alert that "SolidWorks 2010 SP3.0 EV (Early Visibility) is available for download". But when we click and login to customer portal there is no such service pack in the list.
Has anyone faced this problem?
Are you sure you are signed up for access to Early Visibility? The Customer Portal e-mail notification just lets you know the EV SP is out there. You have to sign up for the program here.
You need to be logged into the Customer Portal for the second link to work. Then you will get a web form to fill out requesting access to the EV links. This does not happen instantly. Someone must process on the backend.
Tried, but this page gets redirected to
May be this SP is location specific (I am from India).
When is the version with all the bugs fixed up going to be available.
Okay, okay. When is SP 3 going to be available?
Thanks Anna, this worked. But I cannot understand two things.
1. While creating my profile on Solidworks Customer Portal, I had checked the option for Early Visibility, then why again I have to enter my email address at the above link.
2. Why Solidworks mis-spelled EarlyVisibility as EarlyVisability in their site address .
SolidWorks will have to answer those questions for you. Beats Me.... :-)
John, thanks for the tip!
However, the policy DSS is currently providing looks destructive. With their delays in releases, broken patchers, "one bug fixed - two created" policy, they will not be able to compete on the market in a couple of years. And that'd be a great pity if the untested code will be released one-by-one. The leadershipis a very tender thing, while mistakes are often very hard to fix. That's why the authorities of SolidWorks have to pay much and much more attention to the testing process rather than to the implementation of some useless features.
SolidWorks 2010 SP3.0 is available from 27. April.
Have anyone testet it ? Is there new bugs or is this a perfect servicepack ?
