I'm trying to garner an informal consensus or opinions of SW users on Standard Aspect Ratio (4:3) vs. Wide Screen (16:9) Monitors in a dual monitor application. It is probably a function of size and what you are accustom to and parts you are modeling, i.e. more square items vs. long skinny. I would like to hear experiences, pro/cons etc. Reference - 20 to 21" Standard and 23 to24" Wide Screen.
Kind regards,
Wider is better.
Okay quoting old commercials aside, you can make your feature managers and task panes wider without impeding so much on your workspace. Fewer clicks, etc.
24" widscreen is really nice. I use two 20" at work, but one 24" at home. I wish one of my 20" displays was a 24" wide flat panel - not the 1080p format, but 1920 X 1200. The more realestate, the better!
