SW 2010 SP2.1 The Internet Connection Wizard keeps coming up when you open SW. How do we turn this off? There is no email client on this system.
What you need to do is go through the internet connection wizard, and let windows know that you don't need it to come up any more. That is a windows issue, not a SW issue.
Solidworks is searching for its news feed, through RSS. You can turn off that RSS news feed by going to Tools>Options>System Options>General. Closer to the bottom is a checkbox for "Show latest news feeds in task pane". Make sure that is unchecked. Also, if you are not participating (or not connected to the internet) in the customer experience feedback program, make sure the checkbox after that for "enable performance feedback" is also not checked.
thanks - I'll give your suggestions a shot just as soon as I can get access to these systems, and I will let you now
how we do!
I went in and put in fake info for the ICW and hopefully it won't pop up again. The performance participation option was the only thing checked and that has been unchecked. Should be all set!
