Is it possible to close solidworks after a simulation is launched to free up solidworks somewhat large memory commitment? Will the solver still finish? If it does, will the results be retreveable?
just for carity, what i am refereing to is arfer choosing run in the simulation tree, the solver starts and runs independantly of the solidworks window. If I close close down the solid works application, the solver will continue to run in its own little window (it is an executable). If the problem reaches a solution, will the results be retreivable, or will the solver have nowhere to write the results since the solidworks window has been closed?
I have had SolidWorks crash while a solve was executing. The results were written to the file it was intended for. So I believe closing SW would be okay.

This was in 2009 SP3
