When running Simulations, many files are written to the hard drive. We have another app. Vector Fields that runs simulation files the same way.
Since running across the network slows the process, we installed a second hard drive in the workstation. There was no performance increase.
Now, since the C:\drive is SCSI and the new F:\drive is SATA could this be the bottleneck?
Kind of wondering what other Simulation users are doing with their hardware.
We have no money contraints so I may even convert this Workstation to Win7 and 8GB ram in the process, but want to solve my hard drive issue first.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
