Here is one of the models if i work out the dia of the mean line (i.e 0.66 from the inside profiles using a K factor of 0.44) the dims dont add up and the guys on the shop floor making this are ready to kill me !!!!!!
we do them in halfs for ease of manufacture
I'm sure that in the past i have done these before using this command and they worked out ok and that was even an offset transformer
i would be really gratefull if you could help
Interesting thebottom part of your transition where you have the outside dims of 40+163+40 if this is correct I would think using a .44 k-factor on 16 gauge your part would be long. That depends on a lot of variables v opening, punch, air or bottom bending(coining) crowning, grain, material, Your flat is 240.4 if we made that part here my flat would be 237.26
If you know what your flat layout is supposed to be why don't you work back and find your K-factor that way.
To make this square to round transition I would need a flat layout length of 238mm.
This would be using 16ga and a 1/8" Punch for the corners.
There is a link to give you the 3D model and the flat layout here
(never used it myself)
