Hidden rows means no equation result ?

Question asked by Peter De Vlieger on Mar 12, 2010

I have a BOM that shows lots of rows of pipe parts with their length

Seeing that this information is unneeded I put in an eqution to give an estimate of the global pipe needed.

This works.

However if I hide the rows the equation is using to make the sum then the result of the equation becomes a blank space.

The equation is still there but it acts if hiding rows means deleting them. When I unhide the rows then everything is dandy again.

Is this normal? I'm a doing something wrong? Is there a way to make it work?
