Hi all,

Wondered if anyone could help.

Iam trying to model a football that I can machine on my 5 axis mill. A football is made up of pattens based around pentagons and hexagons. See google images for a clearer look. The pentagons and hexagons have a gap of approx 1mm wide and 1mm deep. This is where the stiching would traditionally lie. The circumfrence of the ball is 68cm.

I have managed to project the shapes on to the solid surface. However I am struggling to patten the geometrys around the ball with the formentioned gap.

Can anyone help?

Many kind regards

Andrew Cook.
