Is there software that can take a 3d assembly model (like sheetmetal) from Solidworks
and for every component, export into a 2d dxfs format drawing?
Like some sort of automation (maybe a seperate software or can Solidworks do this alone?)

Re: Macro- for saving dxf flat patterns with configuration names.dxf
Any luck on this? I've used the "Export Hybrid - 3.1.1.swp" with good results on single sheet metal parts, but no luck on sheet metal multi-bodies or sheet metal assemblies.
I am designing some sheet metal assemblies and sheet metal multibodies where there are a lot of configurations, and a lot of parts. Some of these parts are virtual, and update according to the dimensions in the design table in the assembly. It would be great to have a way to output all of the parts from each configuration to a flat pattern.
I've attached an example of each style, multi-body and assembly. Any ideas? Thanks.
I'll give it a shot this weekend.
