I like 2010 a lot better then 2009. Yeah, it has had some issues but upgrading helped a lot of the issues that we were having before. Our centerlines work when we want them too. Pack N Go is a little more stable (still has issues). SW doesn't crash as often (that was one of our biggest problems).
But then again, we are not running PDM and someone said it had issues there. Also, if you get really frustrated with menus popping up everytime you click something and ESC not working the first couple of times you hit it, then I would definately suggest you try it out before you decide which one to stick with.
since our company is on a subscription they update as soon as new releases hit the airwaves with not a wink of testing beforehand. i sure would like to know what the above posters are using for systems because in my opinion 2010 is sub-par at best. maybe it's meant to be on a 64 bit system but it has been the most crash happy version since 2005, again in my opinion.
my suggestion would be to wait or as mentioned above get it on a separate system and test the living F out of it before bring 2010 online.
well that's what we're running(see below for spec)...perhaps it's a networking thing...dunno, guess we'll see what happens when the hardware changes take place in a week or so.
Intel Core 2

I'm having problems with 2010 running slow on a 64 bit system. Each keystroke takes about five minutes on some features. The VAR tested the files on a 32 bit system and it seemed fine, then tested it on a 64 bit system and the same problem occurred. There are about half a dozen SPR's reporting similar problems that are as yet unresolved.

Is this still an issue on 64 bit? Did you go to SP3?
We are running Windows7 64 bit & SW sp3 and it's still slow. No were as fast as our old XP 32bit & SW 2008.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Await a worl dof pain on upgrading to 2010. We have had nothing but trouble on all our machines and still having issues. mainly due to performances which we can not get any where near as fast as 2008.
We are trying all kinds of improvements to increase performance.
