I am trying to leave out section lines in the ribs. I also need an aligned section as these ribs are 120 degrees apart. However, if I take an aligned section, I don't get the option of selecting section scope.
I am sorry I could not understand. I have already created the rib with a constrained sketch. I need an aligned section with no cross hatching in the ribs which is usually defined in the section scope tab under "properties". However I am not getting that option visible at all. Please help.
I hope I have made my question clear.
I made a sketch in the drawing. Used two lines 120 degrees apart to get the aligned section. Only problem is that it won't leave out the ribs in cross hatching.
I have attached the part and drawing files.
Yes I got it......
First make only one straight line and make section line. Then in that section scope select both Rib1 and CirPattern1
and then edit same section view sketch and make that angled line and come out. It will workout.
If you are giving two inclined lines at a time section scope is not comming. I don't know why it was not comming.
This might be fixed in SolidWorks SP01.
It was not showing other side.
Thank you Raghu,
I will try this out and hopefully get it as you did. Right now I am not sure how to make the vertical line angled while editing as you have suggested.
Here I attached Jpg file. I attached the procedure.
Does this help?
I'm using SW 2009 SP 4.1. Just look at the sketch I have made for the section view.
