I've been playing around with the rib functinality (SW2009 SP4.1) and can't see that it works in weldment/multibody - am I right?

The ribs must properly attach to the mating bodies for FEA, and I need to make a drawing of the plate detail.

What I do now is to extrude the profile - extending into the two rings, and then a cut (remoe to the outside) borrowing the edges from the same rings.

Are there a smarter way of doing this?
