Hello SW users.
I was wondering if there is a way that I can create an equation, per the attachment, in a general table that can sum the linear lengths of the column called "SWpipeLength"
You should be able to do this by adding an equation column in the Piping BOM; however, it did not seem to work for the cut length property (we use this often to get total weights of like items) - I just looked into it some more, and it appears that it does not work for cut length as routing automatically adds the units after the length - e.g. 563mm, so neither the SW table nor the Excel BOM can multiply it by the quantity. The other option is to use the 'OLD' excel Piping BOM and then add the appropriate formulae (this does not work either - see above).
Another option is to save you BOM to excel then do your calcs and bring it back into the drg (not the best option as it would not be parametric).
Justin, I use weldments on pipe and then I get a cut list on it.
