Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of configurations?
same question for derived configurations?
I'm test on just a small(130kbfile) part but it look like there no limit
i have went to add 100,000 configs took a verylong time and i had to cancel it but i know it got 10,000+ configs
there is a post at that might be what you are looking for
100k configurations that's impressive!
Thank you Jocob for your input.
I know this is an old thread but I thought I might add to it for anyone else searching for this topic. I recently gathered data from our inventory system, concatenated the information I needed from it, then copied and pasted the valid data into a design table. I had 900+ lines of data that were producing seperate configurations (900+). I was not able to copy and paste all 900+ lines of data at once. Whether it was an error on my part, or a bug in solidworks, I had to copy and past 200 lines of data at a time to get the design table to function correctly to produce all my configurations.
I guess there's an absolute limit to configurations, but as far as I'm concerned the practical limit is much less.
I would NOT want to deal with a model/assembly with that many configs! It must be slow.
