Has anybody tried to import .cgm files into SolidWorks ? I had to download a free for 14 day translater for right now.
I guess that I was hoping for some way either SolidWorks or DWG editor, maybe edrawings,..could do this - some kind of trick. I would be happy if anybody knew of a free program that could convert this to a SolidWorks friendly format.
I take it that there isn't a good work around for this then... We need to open some .CGM files and I am at a loss as to how to access them. Any updates?
Are you doing translation for an archaeologist? CGM is quite an ancient format!
Look into Hijaak.
One of our vendors likes .cgm files so we accomodate him, as he pays his bills. The .cgm format is old but you can utiulize them as JPEG files or DWG files and take measurements from them - unique ??
Solidworks does not accept these files so you need to get a converter. I had someone email me asking about the free trial converter that I had talked about. This is a copy of what I emailed him - hope it helps someone else.
