TITLE:                                    DESIGN ENGINEER

LOCATION:                         ESSEX MANUFACTURING, #6 SUNNEN

HOURS:                                  1ST SHIFT/ 8:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F

(Salary-Exempt)

EDUCATION:          Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience; preferred technical training in CAD systems

DUTIES:                                 Reports directly to Engineering Manager A&D.  Responsible to complete a functional design based on conceptual design from a project engineer; write test procedures and reports; create drawings; generate BOM for new parts and revisions on old parts; communicate with fabrication shop on design input.

REQUIREMENTS:          Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD); SolidWorks, Finite Element Modeling (FEM), Algor Software knowledge a plus.  Good communication skills, verbal and written; able to complete tasks on time and to a schedule; able to work as a team; detail oriented; able to use MS Office programs;
