just wondering if there is any news geared towards photoview 360?
Nothing from SW on this?
It's not really modo functionality. It's still SW motion the renderer is just PV360 rather than PW.
I have a blog post covering the PV360 chnages for 2011. I'm just waiting for some approvals for parts of it. I think the big news is full integration into the SW window.
Luxology has also announced the SW Kit for modo. I'm working on a blog post for this as well.
The Modo booth at World was always packed whe I walked by. A lot of us were looking to see anything new and exciting.
Looking forward to reading your blog posts on PV360 for SW2011, Rob.
It is interesting to set around and listen to comments from Engineers I work with as well as marketing people. They say things like, "Man, what a cool picture, it must have taken you hours to produce that." I just smile and take it all in. This is why we like to produce these pictures and why so many users are excited about what's coming our way with having a rendering tool like Modo inside SW.
The Luxology booth was very busy. I was at the SWUGN booth (next door to the Luxology booth) for 90 minutes and it was a constant flow of people. lots of interest.
Hopefully the post doesn't dissapoint The text is ready. I'm trying to get permission to show some images that were created with the 2011 version. They show some new functionaility. Fingers crossed
Depending on the implementation, I am not sure i want PV inside SW. Currently I like that it is separate in that I can set up a render, let it run and use SW at the same time.
Otherwise I am excited to see what improvements will be made.
Have you tried to get 2 assemblies positioned properly for an inserted background in PV360? I don't know exactly how to do it, but I imagine you have to trail and error it? Put the 2 assemblies in a new assembly and position them how you think they will space in PV360. Open PV360, insert a background image and see whats what. Then go back to SW and move things around and then back to PV30, and on and on. Not ideal. Is there a better way?
If you are going to use backgrounds as scenes, you need to be able to see the background and move your SW models around. There's no way to do that in PV360 and I don't know if it's being considered. With PhotoWorks, at least you're in SW and can do what you need to get the scene setup before rendering.
I'll enjoy it either way.
You run into the same issues with exploded views. Postion pieces in SW, check camera in PV360, go back to SW and adjust. Integration does solve a lot of these types of issues.
is there any chance of it being posted here? or could you e-mail it to me?
sorry, usaul problem, i have limited acsess here!
